New Boozy Ice Cream Shop in Ponsonby

Cool down this Summer with a few scoops from the newest ice cream shop to open in Ponsonby - Boozylato!

I know it’s very hard to compete with Duck Island ice cream down the road, but with over 60 delicious flavours to choose from, Boozylato definitely gives them a run for their money.

Boozylato on Ponsonby Road is unlike any other ice cream shop that I’ve been to where the staff take their time preparing the scoops and can do creative designs like roses + spaghetti.

I also appreciate that they offer free toppings, (I’m sure you know how much they usually add up at froyo stores!) the kids in store at the time were going crazy for the sour worms and peach rings!

In terms of the actual ice cream flavours, they’re not as unique as Duck Island’s range however the scoops are definitely a little bit cheaper. We got a 3 scoop for $10 which was massive. They currently have over 60 flavours to choose from which include all the classics. My top picks are the Latte Macchiato & Mint Stracciatella.

And given the name of the shop, I was expecting the flavours to be alcohol/cocktail inspired but I was wrong. They actually have a range of alcoholic drinks where they can inject the ice cream with them for an extra cost. I’ll definitely be back to try this out next time!

The store itself is a fun vibe with all the colourful decor, definitely recommend checking them out next time you’re in Ponsonby.
