La Fantaisie-the most beautiful cafe in Melbourne?

La Fantaisie, a beautiful brunch and events space in Abbotsford is owned by the same team behind the popular Flovie Florist Cafe. With the beautiful French White exterior, light pink marble benches and gorgeous floral arrangements - it really is like stepping into a world of fantasy.

And not only is it the most stunning venue that I’ve ever had brunch at, but the food definitely matches the gorgeous aesthetics. The combination of citrus fruits, almonds and avocado on the ‘W.O.W Avo’ created such a delightfully light and refreshing brunch dish.

The Scallop Spinach Risotto is one of their most popular menu choices and it’s easy to see why as the scallops were cooked to perfection. The flavours of the tobiko, spinach, white wine and parmesan were so tasty.

Make sure to save room for their magical desserts too, I guarantee that you’ll be impressed! The ‘Eggcellent’ looks like eggs on toast but it’s actually a dessert filled with mango gel, coconut granita and coconut egg white.

La Fantaisie has a similar drinks menu to their sister cafe Flovie and I always struggle to choose as they all sound divine. This time I opted for the Rose Tea Latte where the subtle floral taste was balanced perfectly with pistachios and coconut milk. For a more decadent drink, go for the ‘Roma Holiday’ which is a delicious hazelnut hot chocolate served with a small piece of brownie. Yum!
