Spicy Beef Donburi

Spicy Beef Don

As soon as we entered we felt like we were in cosy restaurant in Japan. It’s bright, colourful and filled to the brim with Japanese decor. The staff were very welcoming which also added to the homely feel of the place.

They have a large menu with plenty to choose from at very affordable prices. For our first visit, we decided on the Takoyaki, Sashimi, Fried Chicken, Katsu Chicken Curry, Spicy Beef Don, Pork Ramen and the Taiyaki for dessert - yes we were very hungry and wanted to try it all.

Chicken Katsu Curry

My top recommendation would have to be the Katsu Curry, don’t leave without trying this as it’s just so flavourful. I’d go as far to say it’s actually the best Katsu Curry that I’ve ever tried and will definitely be ordering this again on my next visit.

Another highlight of the meal was the Spicy Beef Don, give it a try if you can handle your spice (it does have a bit of a kick to it!). Make sure to save room for the Taiyaki, it’s served nice and warm and the red bean paste is sweet and delicious. It comes with two big scoops of ice cream too.

I definitely recommend checking them out next time you’re craving a delicious Japanese dinner or lunch when in the CBD.

Find them at 7 Frederick Wy, Melbourne VIC
